Senior Softball Awards: Pitcher Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN Senior Softball Awards

The pre-season watch list has been trimmed down to five finalists. Winners are announced the week of the softball state tournament.

WSN Senior Softball Awards -- Pitcher Finalists:

Haley Hestekin, Kaukauna: Hestekin is 20-2 so far this season and has a 0.41 ERA with 161 strikeouts in 136 innings pitched. At the plate, she's hitting .360 with 21 RBI and 12 runs scored. Haley is committed to play for the Wisconsin Badgers. Kaukauna (25-2) faces Pulaski in a Division 1 sectional final today.

Sommer Kunstmann, Kettle Moraine: Kunstman has a 22-2 record with a 1.87 ERA and 114 strikeouts in 146 innings pitched. At the plate, she is hitting .553 with 11 home runs, 53 RBI, and 20 runs scored. Kettle Moraine (23-3) plays Menomonee Falls in a Division 1 sectional final today. 

Liz Pautz, Pulaski: Pautz was named FRCC Player of the Year and has led the Red Raiders to a sectional final appearance. In conference play, she was 15-3 with a 1.24 ERA and 186 strikeouts. Pautz is committed to UW-Green Bay. Pulaski faces Kaukauna in a D1 sectional final today. 

Kayla Schwebke, Laconia: Schwebke is 22-0 with a 0.16 ERA and 290 strikeouts. She has 4 no-hitters, 20 shutouts, and has allowed just 3 earned runs all season. Kayla holds the state-record for career strikeouts and has been named the WFSCA Division 3 Player of the Year as a sophomore and junior. Schwebke is committed to UW-Green Bay. Laconia (22-0) plays Random Lake in a Division 3 sectional final today. 

Sydney Wilcox, Shiocton: Wilcox is 18-4 in the circle with a 1.13 ERA and 224 strikeouts in 142 2/3 innings. At the plate, she is hitting .462 with 9 home runs, 30 RBI, and 33 runs scored; carrying a 1.033 slugging percentage. Shiocton (21-7) plays Lourdes Academy in a Division 4 sectional final today.
