Week 4 Passing Leaders

Things were looking bleak for Deerfield, who trailed Randolph 42-20 at halftime, and 42-28 entering the fourth quarter in a Trailways-South match-up. Riding a 15-game losing streak, it appeared the run would continue. Then, Tyler Haak happened. The sophomore quarterback threw for five second half touchdown passes, including four in the fourth quarter, as the Demons stormed back for a 60-42 victory. Haak finished with a state-record tying 8 touchdown passes in the win, becoming just the third player in state history to do so. Amazingly, he did it on just 25 pass attempts, completing 17 of them for 462 yards.
