As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

Week 9 Game of the Week: Whitnall (8-0, 7-0; D3 #5) at New Berlin Eisenhower (8-0, 7-0; D3 #3) -- Thursday, 7 pm

The Woodland Crossover championship game is always interesting for a number of reasons, including that it does count in the league standings for both teams, and could therefore determine regional placement in the playoffs and lead to a tie for first place in one of the divisions. After not making the playoffs last year, Whitnall has stormed to an 8-0 start. The defense is holding opponents to less than eight points per game, while the offense is led by running back Andrew Mallmann, who has had a nice bounce-back season. Eisenhower has made it through a very tough schedule undefeated, with wins over five teams we expect to make it into the postseason. Senior quarterback Bryce Miller has been excellent, with a strong cast of skill players including Stephen Halusan, Jack Himmelspach, and Jake Belongia.
