Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of December 11 through 17. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: December 11-17

Johnny Davis, La Crosse Central boys basketball: Davis scored a game-high 28 points in the Red Raiders' 58-55 win over Stevens Point, the three-time defending Division 1 state champions. Davis tallied 16 points in a win over Menomonie (89-39) on Tuesday, and finished with 22 points in a win over Wisconsin Rapids (68-44) on Saturday. The sophomore is averaging 27.2 points per game for La Crosse Central, the defending D2 state champions, who are 5-1 overall and ranked No. 4 in the Division 2 WisSports.net Coaches Poll 

Gabby McCorison, Butternut girls basketball: McCorison scored a career-high 51 points in the Midgets' win over Winter, 90-69, on Monday. The 51 points are tied for 7th place all-time on the girls' basketball single game scoring list. McCorison also netted 28 points in a 57-48 win over Mellon on Friday. The senior is averaging 27.1 points per game for Butternut, 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the Indianhead. 

De'Monte Nelson, Kenosha Bradford boys basketball: Nelson banked in a 30-footer at the buzzer to lift the Red Devils past Franklin, 74-71, on Friday. Nelson led all scorers in the game with 28 points. In an 87-59 win over Kenosha Tremper on Tuesday, Nelson tallied a game-high 29 points. The senior is averaging 28.8 points per game for Kenosha Bradford, 5-1 overall.  

Jade Williams, Western Wisconsin Stars girls hockey: Williams scored 4 goals and added 2 assists in the Stars' win over Badger Lightning, 13-1, on Saturday. For the season, the junior has 10 goals and 4 assists for Western Wisconsin (4-2-1). 

Shemera Williams, Milwaukee Academy of Science girls basketball: Williams scored a career-high 53 points in the Novas' win over Milwaukee Washington, 92-68, on Friday. The 53 points are the 6th best single game performance in girls' basketball state history. Williams, a Division I prospect, is averaging a state-best 42.8 points per game, to go along with 13.5 rebounds, 9.2 assists, 5.8 steals and 2.2 blocks per game. Milwaukee Academy of Science is 4-1 overall and ranked No. 8 in the Division 4 WisSports.net Coaches Poll.
