Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of January 29 through February 4. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: January 29-February 4

Brehna Evans, West De Pere girls basketball: Evans dropped 39 points and became the school's all-time leading scorer in Friday's 89-48 win over Xavier. In a 66-34 win over Green Bay West on Tuesday, she scored 14 points for the Phantoms. The 5-8 senior guard and St. Cloud State recruit is averaging 24.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 4.3 steals per game for West De Pere, 14-4 overall and 9-2 in the Bay. 

Jay Gentry, Brown Deer boys basketball: Gentry netted a career-best 45 points in the Falcons' win over Cudahy, 101-69, on Saturday. On Tuesday, he scored a team-high 26 points in Brown Deer's 75-71 victory against D2 No. 7 Whitnall. Gentry, a 6-1 senior guard, is averaging 29.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.6 steals per game for D3 No. 2 Brown Deer, 16-2 overall and 10-1 in the Woodland-East.

Jackson Katz, Homestead boys hockey: Katz recorded a hat trick in the Highlanders' 8-0 win against Kenosha Thunder on Friday. He added an assist in the win. On Wednesday, he scored a goal and addd an assist in Homestead's 6-1 win over Sheboygan Red Raiders. The senior has 36 goals and 60 points on the season, fourth best in the state in each category. Homestead is 16-6 overall and 6-0 in the North Shore. 

Chombi Lambert, Roncalli boys basketball: Lambert set the school record for points in a game with 45 and connected on 10 three-pointers in the Jets' victory over St. Mary's Springs, 83-62, on Saturday. He also added 6 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal in the win. Lambert also helped the Jets to wins over Two Rivers and Howards Grove (previously unbeaten) last week. The 5-9 junior guard is averaging 19.9 points, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game for Roncalli, 14-4 overall and 7-3 in the Eastern Wisconsin. 

Katelyn Meister, Wisconsin Dells girls basketball: Meister scored a career-high 34 points in the Chiefs' win over Poynette, 65-45, on Friday. The 5-8 junior guard is averaging 19.9 points per game for Wisconsin Dells, 17-1 overall and 7-0 in the South Central.
