Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list was trimmed down to 15 semi-finalists, and five finalists for the award have now been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament.

Jacob Fierst, 6-6, F, West Allis Central
The Player of the Year in the Western Division of the Woodland Conference, Fierst has been dynamite all season for coach David Mlachnik and the Bulldogs. The 6-foot-6 forward is averaging 21.1 points and 9.1 rebounds heading into West Allis Central's WIAA Division 1 sectional semifinal game with Franklin on Thursday. Fierst, who has committed to NAIA Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, is averaging more than five foul shots per game and has also connected on 32 three-point shots for West Allis Central, which won the Woodland West title and is 20-3 overall.

Tyler Robarge

Tyler Robarge, 6-8, F/C, Chippewa Falls
A hard-working, back-to-the-basket throwback player, Robarge has taken giant steps in his game over the last two seasons. After dropping weight and adding muscle to his frame during the spring and summer of 2018, Robarge emerged into one of the top post players in northwest Wisconsin during the 2018-19 high school season. He averaged 16.6 points and 6.7 rebounds for Chippewa Falls and coach Jason Proue. Robarge had 23 points and 13 rebounds in a loss to Eau Claire Memorial, and earned first-team all-league recognition in the Big Rivers Conference. Robarge will attend Michigan Tech in the fall on a NCAA Division II basketball scholarship.

David Skogman

David Skogman, 6-10, F/C, Waukesha West
The top remaining unsigned class of 2019 collegiate prospect in the state, Skogman continues to attract serious recruiting attention from high-major NCAA Division I schools. He recently picked up offers from both Minnesota and Nebraska, and is in regular communication with the coaching staff at the University of Wisconsin. Skogman has helped Waukesha West to a 21-3 record and the Classic Eight Conference title by averaging 19.0 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.2 blocked shots per contest. He recently had 38 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Catholic Memorial and is a 1,000-point career scorer for the Wolverines, who take on league-rival Kettle Moraine in a WIAA Division 1 sectional semifinal game on Thursday.

Patrick Suemnicht

Patrick Suemnick, 6-8, F, Denmark
A continually improving forward who can play inside and outside, Suemnick has been downright dominating at times around the basket. He had eight blocked shots in a victory over Little Chute, and finished with 29 points and 20 rebounds in a triumph over Kewaunee. Suemnick is averaging 19.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.9 blocked shots for coach Cody Stelmach and the Vikings, who shared the North Eastern Conference championship with Freedom and Wrightstown. Suemnick, who is shooting 62 percent from the field and 73 percent from the free throw line, and his talented teammates take a 20-4 record into Thursday's WIAA Division 3 sectional semifinal game against Valders.

Austin Westra

Austin Westra, 6-5, Sr., F, DeForest
Westra has overcome a nagging back injury to average 16.9 points per game for DeForest, which brings a 19-5 record into Thursday's WIAA Division 2 sectional semifinal game against Badger North Conference rival Mount Horeb. An athletic player who can score in the lane and from the perimeter, Westra missed three contests this season due to injury. But he is back on the floor for coach Craig Weisbrod and the Norskies, who dropped two league games to Mount Horeb earlier in the campaign. Westra scored a season-best 29 points in a 68-65 win over Lakeside Lutheran on January 8.
