Royall sophomore Jessica Breuggeman has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of May 27 through June 2.

There was a total of 2,392 votes cast this week. Jessica finished first with 1011 votes. Sun Prairie's Maddie Gardner finished second with a total of 873 votes.

Jessica took home gold in both the long jump and triple jump last weekend, a year after finishing second in both events as a freshman. Not only did she take home gold in both events, she broke the division 3 state record in both.

First in the long jump competition, Jessica won with a distance of 18-08.25, which broke a ten year old record. She then went on to jump 38-09.75 in triple jump to set that state record as well. Along with the jumping events, Jessica took part in both the 4x200 and 4x400 meter relay teams.
