Verona's Molly McChesney has been selected as the top senior outfielder as part of the WSN Senior Softball Awards.
McChesney shared Big Eight Player of the Year honors with teammate Meghan Anderson.
Entering sectional play, Molly was hitting .598 with 22 RBI and 52 runs scored for the Wildcats. She also went 33-for-35 on stolen bases and posted a .818 fielding percentage.
McChesney is committed to NCAA Division I University of Akron.
Verona fell to defending D1 state champion Sun Prairie in a sectional final.
McChesney earned first-team all-Big Eight as a junior for coach Todd Anderson and the Wildcats.
Finalists for the award were McChesney, Wilmot's Haley Lamberson, Mishicot's Kourtney LeRoy, Altoona's Karly Maurina, Kenosha Bradford/Reuther's Alyssa McClelland, and Pacelli's Sophie Schroeder.
