Middleton sophomore Lauren Pansegrau has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week after a vote on WSN. 

There were 2,796 total votes this week. Pansegrau received 950 votes and Mineral Point's Isaac Lindsey finished second with 797 votes.

Lauren did something this past week that nobody has done yet this season in the state of Wisconsin. She finished ahead of defending Division 1 state champion Genevieve Nashold of Madison West in an in-state event. Lauren took home a first place finish at the Stoughton Invite last Saturday. She ran the 5,000 meter course in a time of 18 minutes and five seconds. Lauren outlasted fellow sophomore Genevieve by a 18 seconds to take home the first place finish.
