How has not being able to play this spring impacted you? "I definitely feel like I’ve missed out on a lot of great opportunities and experiences. I would’ve loved to have another season to prove myself more and represent my school. I have looked forward to this season for so long and it really motivated me a lot at practice. That being said, I am really excited for my next chapter in college sports."

What do you miss about not being able to play this spring "The amazing atmosphere at the state tournament and missing out on the opportunity to represent my school one last time. I will also miss competing with my teammates, who have been some of my best friends the past years. I know we had a great chance to do something special this year. I will also miss the team dinners, daily practices and trips."

What have you done to stay active? "I’ve been practicing as much as I can. I hung a tarp in my garage and my dad hand feeds me balls so I can hit against the tarp. Recently, public courts next to my house opened and I’ve been able to get outside and practice on a real court. I’ve also been taking the time to really focus on my body and training and conditioning, so I’ve been doing a lot of runs and workouts in my basement with make-shift weights."

Most Memorable Moment from Spring Sports? "Definitely either winning my first state tournament or making history with my team last year at the state tournament. My sophomore year, I played against a really tough opponent (Casey Johnson of Kohler), who won the title a few times in the past and I had my back to the wall and managed to pull it out in the end, and it was really exciting. I think about that match a lot because it meant so much to me and my family. And the team tournament was a great experience for my friends and I. It was really fun having our friends supporting us and then reaching the final after one of my best friends, Tayte Matthews, clinched the semifinal in an amazing match to pull us ahead 4-3."
