The Elkhorn Elks have been selected as the Week 2 WSN Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team took down Westosha Central in a flurry of offensive prowess. The Elks were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 2. A total of 8,560 votes were cast, as Elkhorn's 3,551 votes edged Wauwatosa West's 3,455 votes.

After nearly taking down Waterford in Week 1, Elkhorn put up big offensive numbers once again, but this time came out on the right side of the ledger in a 46-41 win over Westosha Central. The Elks trailed 41-34 in the fourth, but got touchdown runs from Connor Lom and Jacob Mogensen  to claim victory. Elkhorn ran for 535 yards as a team, with Mogensen going for 210, Jake Rockweiler had 168, and Logan Page finished with 99. Quarterback Charles Hall added 124 yards through the air while Rockweiler also had a 90-yard kickoff return touchdown.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 3 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
