Dawson Rondorf of West Bend East has been selected as the Week 6 Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Suns take down defending North Shore Conference champion Hartford. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 6. A total of 5,393 votes were cast, as Rondorf's 1,980 were enough to edge second place Michael Volz of New Holstein, who tallied 1,949 votes.

West Bend East evened up its record at 3-3 on the year in a 26-14 win over defending North Shore Conference champion Hartford on Friday. The game was tied at 14 heading into the fourth quarter, but West Bend East quarterback Dawson Rondorf engineered a pair of scoring drives, capping off each with a short rushing touchdown. It certainly wasn't the only contribution he made in the game, as he completed 14-of-26 passes for 221 yards and a score, adding 36 yards and those two scores on the ground. Rondorf also starts on defense, where he intercepted two passes and forced and recovered a fumble.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WisSports.net Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 7 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
