Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The finalists for the top senior wing award have been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. 

Naomi Breunig, Sauk Prairie - Breunig was a four-year varsity player for Sauk Prairie, and in her final game, eclipsed the 1000-point mark for her career with a career-high 30 points in a playoff loss to McFarland. She averaged 13.9 points per game as a senior for the Eagles, who finished 9-9. 

Kiley Deaton, Wausau West - Deaton, a 5-10 senior, has shown steady progress in her time at Wausau West. After playing only a few games on varsity as a freshman, she was a solid performer as a sophomore before blossoming into a 14-point per game scorer as a junior. She picked it up even further as a senior, averaging more than 20 points per game while averaging 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.4 steals per contest.

Phoebe Frentzel, Arrowhead - Arrowhead is a very balanced squad, but Frentzel certainly stands out. She led the team with 15 points per game, marking the second straight year that she averaged double figures. She had a season-high 27 points in an important win over Kettle Moraine in January.

Desiree Kleiman, Mishicot - Kleiman, a 6-0 senior who is committed to Minnesota State, has a big hand to play in the Indians' 16-2 record and top ranking in the WSN Division 4 Coaches Poll. A four-year varsity player who has averaged at least eight points per game every season, Kleiman pours in 16.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assist per game as the team heads to sectionals.

Alexa Thomson, West De Pere - Thomson helped the Phantoms to an outright Bay Conference championship, as the team finished 17-5 on the season. For a second straight season, Thomson averaged 16 points per game, as she finished with 1,181 points in her career. She also contributed 6.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.

Maty Wilke, Beaver Dam - Wilke is one of the most successful athletes in Wisconsin girls basketball history, helping the Golden Beavers to state championships as a freshman and sophomore, while the pandemic cut short their attempt last year. Unfortunately, after a huge start to her senior season, she suffered a season-ending knee injury just eight games into the 2020-21 year. Still, she finished with more than 1200 career points and a legacy that will live in state history, before she heads to the University of Wisconsin next season.
