Week 5 Rushing Leaders

Lodi and Columbus entered their Week 5 matchup unbeaten and ranked in the top ten of the WisSports.net Medium Schools Coaches Poll. Lodi led 7-0 heading into the fourth quarter, when things got really exciting. After a Columbus field goal pulled the Cardinals within 7-3, Lucas Heyroth responded with a 78-yard touchdown run moments later to put the Blue Devils up two scores. However, a furious finish by Columbus would tie the score at 14 with just over a minute to go before Lodi's Chandler Curtis kicked a 24-yard field goal with six seconds left for a thrilling 17-14 win. Heyroth was a workhorse for the Blue Devils, carrying the ball 24 times for 238 yards (averaging 9.9 yards per carry) and the long touchdown run.

Week 5 Receiving Leaders

With Southwestern quarterback Peerson Kephart tying a state record with eight touchdown passes in a 62-34 win over Poynette, it comes as no surprise that his receivers put up big numbers. Senior Ray Runde led three Wildcats receivers who had at least 100 yards, hauling in eight passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns. His scoring catches came from 57, 45, and 20 yards out. Runde also caught three passes from the other team, as he intercepted the Pumas three times.
