WISSPORTS.NET PRESEASON FOOTBALL RANKINGS

We have started work on our preseason football team rankings, with a look at the Top 15 teams in each division, plus Others to Watch. We've already published several division rankings (see below), and we'll continue into early next week. Make sure to sign up for a WSN Extra account so you can access the preseason rankings plus all kinds of news, insight, and expert analysis all season long.

While the state of Wisconsin does not have spring football like states in the South, it's never too early to start thinking about next season. The reduced season, split season options, and lack of playoffs last year create a larger amount of uncertainty heading into 2021 than ever before. While things will certainly change prior to the start of next year (players lost to injury, grades, transfers plus players gained via transfer, returning from injury, players improving, etc.), this list will provide a general guide as we look to the 2021 campaign and of course facilitate discussion. Please note, divisions are projections based on 2019 and several previous years worth of cutline trends; divisional placement for some teams may change for the 2021 playoffs; official enrollments for the 2021 season are not available from the WIAA and will also impact eventual divisional placement.
