Nate Kollath of Sussex Hamilton has been selected as the Week 3 Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Chargers hold on to beat Marquette. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 3. A total of 6,931 votes were cast, as Kollath's 3,088 were enough to edge out second place Brandon Piche of Oak Creek, who tallied 1,887 votes.

Sussex Hamilton built a 37-14 lead on Marquette late in the third quarter, then held on for dear life in a 37-34 victory over the Hilltoppers to move to 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in Greater Metro Conference play. Nate Kollath accounted for 413 of the team's 455 yards of offense. The junior quarterback completed 11-of-19 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a career day on the ground, carrying the ball 40 times for 265 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WisSports.net Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 4 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
