The West Allis Hale Huskies have been selected as the Week 3 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team scored a big win over Brookfield Central in one of the most significant wins for the program in many years. The Highlanders were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 3. A total of 5,642 votes were cast, as West Allis Hale's 2,353 votes edged Nicolet's 1,265 votes.

West Allis Hale got a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to score a 21-14 win over Brookfield Central on Friday that could signal the Huskies are a threat to make their first playoff appearance since 2008. Hale has struggled to be competitive in the Greater Metro Conference, but this win is huge for the program. Ty Clark completed 22-of-30 passes for 278 yards and a touchdown, and while he did throw three interceptions, he also ran for 81 yards and a score, while Tobey Sayeg rushed for 78 yards. The defense came up big in some key spots and limited Brookfield Central to just 41 passing yards in the game.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 4 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
