Melrose-Mindoro sophomore Claire Becker has been selected as the RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week for the week of October 4-10 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 4,871 total votes this week. Becker topped all vote getters with 2,649 votes. Pewaukee's Carter Pearson came in second with 826 votes.

Becker and the Melrose-Mindoro cross country team took part in the Holte Invitational in Arcadia this past weekend. The sophomore runner finished ahead of the pack, taking home the individual title. Becker finished the race with a time of 20:58, nearly 20 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.

Becker and the rest of the Melrose-Mindoro team will compete in the Dairyland Conference meet tonight, October 14.
