Colby at Edgar

Colby is the defending Division 6 state champion and ranked fifth in the latest Division 5 Coaches Poll on WisSports.net. Edgar is the second-ranked squad in Division 7. Last year the Hornets of Colby won the head-to-head matchup en route to a Marawood Conference title, as these central Wisconsin powers have combined for 11 state titles and 18 trips to a state championship game.

Lodi at Edgewood

As we've said almost every week, the Capitol Conference is absolutely loaded and will feature big matchups virtually every week. That's no different in Week 5, as unbeatens Lodi and Edgewood will square off in a game at Breese Stevens, as Edgewood continues to battle the city of Madison in court to be able to install lights that would allow them to play home games on campus. Lodi had a barnburner with Turner last week, rallying several different times before holding on for a 37-30 victory. Edgewood took down New Glarus/Monticello last week.

Wrightstown at Freedom

These North Eastern Conference rivals are undefeated heading into their yearly matchup, as in a quirk of the situation, all six NEC teams are a perfect 2-0 in league play after the conference dominated crossovers against the Bay Conference. That sets up a wild final five weeks of the season as the North Eastern teams jockey for position. Freedom won 26-14 over Wrightstown last year.

Muskego at Mukwonago

Undoubtedly one of the biggest and most anticipated games of the entire year, as these Classic Eight counterparts meet for the third time in the last 12 months. Muskego took down Mukwonago 20-14 in a regular season game that was likely the highest-attended regular season game of the year. However, in the playoffs, Mukwonago claimed a 35-14 victory in Level 3, officially ending Muskego's state title run. With number one Mukwonago against number two Muskego, this one has been generating a good amount of buzz for a few weeks.

New Berlin West at New Berlin Eisenhower

The Parkland Conference is looking very strong once again, and while this might not have the cachet of last weeks state champion versus state champion showdown between Pewaukee and Catholic Memorial, it is an excellent ballgame between the New Berlin schools who are a bit of a surprise 8-0 combined. They've taken turns winning close games over Wauwatosa West the last two weeks. Both have Catholic Memorial and Pewaukee remaining on the schedule, with West facing those two teams the next two weeks, while Eisenhower gets them the last two weeks of the season.
