Matthew Pittz of Dodgeville has been selected as the Week 4 Jolly Good Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Dodgers score comeback league victory over River Valley. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 4. A total of 5,010 votes were cast, as Pittz's 1,747 were enough to edge out second place Drew Chorlton of Verona, who tallied 1,295 votes.

Dodgeville ended a 15-game conference losing streak with a comeback 20-14 victory against River Valley on Friday. The Dodgers trailed 14-7 heading into the fourth quarter before scoring to tie it up. Just a couple minutes later with River Valley on the doorstep of taking the lead, Matthew Pittz returned an interception 95 yards for what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown. He also caught four passes for 22 yards in the game and recorded six tackles with a total of two interceptions.
