Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees: October 3-9

Hannah Dunk, Milton

Dunk has put together a great senior season on the links and has qualified for her third straight state championship. This past week, Dunk won the Division 1 Janesville Parker sectional held at the Janesville Country Club. The senior golfer shot one over par 72. Her 73 was good enough to win by six strokes on the day. Dunk will look to contend for the Division 1 state title after finishing tenth overall last year as a junior.

Kylie Hanson, Luxemburg-Casco

Hanson was spectacular as she helped lead Luxemburg-Casco to a 7-0 week, not losing a single set. First she had ten kills, eleven digs and three aces in a 3-0 sweep of Waupaca. The senior outside hitter followed that up with eight kills, nine digs and two aces in a 3-0 sweep of Clintonville. Luxemburg-Casco then took part in the De Pere Invite on Saturday and went a perfect 5-0 with sweeps of De Pere, West De Pere, Fond du Lac, Pulaski and De Pere again in the championship. Hanson tallied 32 kills, 23 digs and three aces for the Spartans.

Aiden Hatleberg, Sugar River

Hatleberg has been outstanding as Sugar River came into this week ranked sixth in the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Division 3 Boys Soccer rankings. The junior forward netted both goals in the 2-0 shutout of Division 3, seventh ranked Wisconsin Dells. Hatleberg then had two goals and an assist in a 3-0 win over Watertown Luther Prep. Hatleberg accounted for all five goals scored on the week and has 24 goals and nine assists on the season.

Ava Salay, Prescott

Salay took home medalist honors at the Division 2 Northwestern Sectional last week and it wasn't very close. The senior golfer shot one over par 72 on the day at Hidden Green North Golf Course in Solon Springs. Salay's 73 was seven strokes better than the second place finisher and helped lead Prescott to the team sectional title. Salay is looking to defend her crown at this week's state championship after winning it as a junior.

Jack Sulik, Burlington

Sulik was lights out as Burlington took down Southern Lakes foe Wilmot 37-28 last Friday, clinching their playoff spot. The junior signal caller went 23 for 33 for 344 yards and four touchdowns, passing for a 143.2 quarterback rating on the night. Sulik's 12 yard touchdown pass with 4:41 left in the game was a clincher, proving to be the final points scored of the game.
