Football Week 9 Prep Props: State's Top Performances

Prep Props - Week 9

Prep Props is our weekly look at the best individual statistical performances in the state, with the leaders in rushing yards, passing yards, and receiving yards. Prep Props is published every Monday morning, and for players to be included, coaches must enter game stats by 8 am on Monday.

Week 9 Rushing Leaders

Wisconsin Rapids got a forfeit win over Wausau East in the final week of the regular season, but were able to schedule a replacement against Menominee (MI), winning 51-38. Senior running back Leo Brostowitz closed things out in a grand way, rushing 25 times for 339 yards and six touchdowns. It put him over 1500 rushing yards for a second straight season.

Week 9 Passing Leaders

Lake Mills needed to win in Week 9 to guarantee themselves a playoff berth, and the L-Cats took care of business, handing Lodi a 28-10 loss. Senior quarterback Caden Belling had a huge game, completing 16-of-25 passes for 392 yards with four touchdowns. All four of those scores came in the second half, as Lake Mills rallied from a 10-0 halftime deficit for the victory.

Week 9 Receiving Leaders

Turner missed the playoffs but finished the year in style with a 41-0 running clock victory over Big Foot. It was another big day in the passing game for the Trojans, including Tyler Sutherland, who hauled in eight passes for 214 yards with three touchdowns. He caught scores of 29 yards, 80 yards, and 37 yards.
