The Burlington Demons have been selected as the Level 2 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team scored a second straight road playoff win, this time in thrilling fashion. The Demons were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 2. A total of 10,742 votes were cast, as Burlington's 4,410 votes edged Monroe's 4,321 votes.

Sixth-seeded Burlington and second-seeded Westosha Central played one of the wildest games of the year Friday night, as Burlington went up 41-21 early in the fourth quarter, only to see Westosha Central come roaring back to take a 42-41 lead with just 37 seconds remaining. However, a big kick return and a couple more plays set up Benjamin Graham for a game-winning 37-yard field goal on the final play of the game, as Burlington escaped with a 44-42 win.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 3 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
