WIAC Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week
(Week of December 12-18)

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Rodrick Payne, Sophomore (Cottage Grove, Minn./East Ridge), Center of UW-River Falls 

Payne averaged 23.0 points in two games on the week as the Falcons went 1-1, defeating St. Olaf College (Minn.) 58-57 before a 75-72 overtime loss to Hamline University (Minn.). Payne shot 16 of 30 from the field and 13 of 16 at the free throw line, while collecting 18 rebounds. He scored 19 points during the win over the Oles and notched a double-double versus the Pipers, totaling 27 points and 11 rebounds.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 

Macy Nilsen, Senior (Edina, Minn./Edina), Guard of UW-River Falls 

Nilsen led the Falcons to a non-conference win at Bethany Lutheran College (Minn.) on Dec. 14, recording a double-double with 19 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. She shot 7 of 13 from the field, 4 of 4 at the free throw line, and added three assists and two steals.
