Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees: December 19-25

Jack Daugherty, Brookfield Central

Daugherty was dominant this past Tuesday as Brookfield Central knocked off Wauwatosa West in boys basketball 71-65. Division 1 prospect dropped 41 points and 11 rebounds leading the Lancers to victory. Daugherty, just a junior, was 16 of 25 from the field in the victory, including going six of six from beyond the ark. Daugherty is ranked fifth in the Class of 2024 rankings by WSN with a Division 1 offer from Illinois State.

Brianna McCurdy, St. Croix Falls

McCurdy hit a career milestone in her prep basketball career this past week as St. Croix Falls handled Cumberland 68-23. The 5'7" senior point guard surpassed 1,000 career points as she led her team with 19 on the night. McCurdy also finished with six rebounds, five steals and three assists, helping St. Croix Falls to a 5-1 record on the year.

Ashton Pfaff, New Lisbon

The New Lisbon boys basketball walloped Wonewoc-Center 88-28 this past Tuesday as Pfaff had himself a career night. The 6'1" senior had a career high 46 points on 20 of 33 shooting from the field. Pfaff added six assists, three rebounds and three steals on his dominant night on the hardwood.

Ayden Philips, Almond-Bancroft

The Almond-Bancroft boys basketball also had a dominating day this past Tuesday, knocking off Spencer 86-51. Phillips was the catalyst from the jump, finishing with 41 points and 16 rebounds on the night. Sitting at 6'6" and just a sophomore, Phillips showed off his ability to score at the rim finishing 16 of 20 from the field while attempting 18 free throws and connecting on nine of them. He added three blocks defensively.

Imani Warren, Milwaukee King

The Milwaukee King girls basketball collected its second consecutive win this past Tuesday, knocking off Milwaukee School of Languages 93-64. Warren filled the stat sheet up, leading all scorers with 36 points. The 6'0" senior guard added seven rebounds, six steals, four assists and three blocks, helping the Generals to its third win of the season.
