WIAC Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week
(Week of December 19 - January 1)

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Brock Voigt, Senior (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie), Forward of UW-Eau Claire 

Voigt was named to the All-Tournament Team after helping UW-Eau Claire go 2-0 at UW-Oshkosh’s BSN Winter Classic on Dec. 29-30. He averaged 16.5 points, six rebounds and two blocks per game. Voigt tallied 19 points, six rebounds and three blocks in a 76-41 victory over Marian University (Wis.) on Dec. 29. He added a 14-point, six-rebound performance against Ohio Wesleyan University on Dec. 30. Voigt achieved both stat lines in just over 23 minutes of action in each game.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 

Jessie Ruden, Senior (Rochester, Minn./John Marshall), Guard of UW-Eau Claire 

Ruden was named the Tournament MVP at the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tournament hosted by DePauw University (Ind.) on Dec. 29-30. She led the Blugolds to the tournament title, including a 75-68 win over No. 10-ranked Trine University (Ind.) in the opener. Ruden scored 23 points, dished out four assists, blocked three shots and grabbed three rebounds in that victory. In the tournament championship against DePauw, Ruden recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds to lift the Blugolds to the title. She added three steals and two blocks as the Blugolds won 65-51. For the week, she averaged 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 blocks and 2 steals per contest.
