Cherney is one of the top scorers in the state this season in girls basketball and this past week she improved upon that standing even more. First in a 70-37 win over Richland Center, the junior guard scored a game high 39 points. She followed that up with 28 points in a tight 54-50 win over Sauk Prairie. Cherny saved her best performance for last at the Badger Challenge on Saturday. In a 67-54 win over Monona Grove, Cherney scored a program record 50 points while going 20 of 27 from the free throw line.

Fitzsimons recorded a pair of double-doubles this past week as Darlington improved to 13-1 and took sole possession of first place in the SWAL. First in a 72-35 thumping of River Valley, the 6'4" senior wing had 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Redbirds then squared off with undefeated Mineral Point in a SWAL Conference clash. Fitzsimons finished with 28 points and 13 rebounds as Darlington knocked off the unbeaten Pointers 73-70 in an overtime thriller.

The Brillion Lions are 12-1 on the season and ranked seventh in the most recent WSN Coaches Poll. Schuman has been a big reason why. Last week in a 65-48 win over Two Rivers, the Winona State commit tallied 29 points and 14 rebounds. Schuman followed that up with 21 points in a 55-34 win over Kiel. On the season, the 6'0" combo forward is averaging over 16 points and eight rebounds per game.

The Madison Metro Lynx picked up a pair of wins on the ice this past week behind the strong play of Stebbeds. The senior forward began the week with a pair of goals in a 5-2 win over the Cap City Cougars. Stebbeds followed that up with another two goals and two assists in a 7-0 shutout of Beaver Dam. According to Wisconsin Prep Hockey, Stebbeds is third in the state in goals with 23 on the season.

Onalaska picked up a pair of impressive wins this past weekend playing at the Midwest Players Classic at the La Crosse Center. Stuttley showed out. First, Onalaska drubbed a good Waunakee team 73-43 as the Division 1 prospect Stuttley put up 15 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals. The 6'5" sophomore then had 18 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 55-44 win over Wauwatosa West the following day.
