Pacelli sophomore Jaydon Awe has been selected as the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week for the week of January 16-22 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.
There were 6,204 total votes this week. Awe topped all vote getters with 2,218 votes. Camreon's Zory Parker came in second with 2,162 votes.
Awe has shot up the rankings this season as the sophomore has been having an outstanding season for the Pacelli Cardinals. Last week he was near unstoppable beginning in a 69-53 win over Port Edwards. Awe had 25 points, 19 rebounds and seven blocks. The 6'7" forward then did something rarely seen at any level of basketball, he recorded a quintuple-double in a 69-25 win over Rosholt. Awe had 18 points, 13 rebounds, 11 steals, 10 assists and 10 blocks. He finished the week with 27 points, 22 rebounds and eight blocks in a 99-78 loss to Saint Mary's Springs.
Awe kept up the dominance this week recording a triple-double in an 81-58 win over Antigo. The sensational sophomore had 18 points, 12 rebounds, 10 blocks while adding five steals and three assists.
