WIAC Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week
(Week of February 6-12)

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Brock Voigt, Senior (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie), Forward of UW-Eau Claire 

Voigt averaged 24.5 points, 8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game as the Blugolds went 2-0 during the week. He started the week with a double-double against UW-Platteville on Feb. 8, tallying 24 points and 10 rebounds. Voigt shot 55.5 percent (10 of 18) from the field and contributed three assists and two blocked shots. He followed with 25 points, six rebounds and three steals against UW-Stevens Point on Feb. 11. Voigt also distributed a pair of assists and shot at a 66.7 percent (12 of 18) clip from the field. Nine of his 16 rebounds during the week were on the offensive glass.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 

Abby Belschner, Senior (Grafton, Wis./Cedarburg), Forward of UW-Whitewater 

Belschner was pivotal in a pair of wins during the week that helped UW-Whitewater secure at least a share of the program’s 11th WIAC regular-season title. In a 67-55 win at UW-Oshkosh on Feb. 8, Belschner was 10 of 15 from the floor for 20 points. She was a rebound shy of a double-double, while adding three assists and a blocked shot. In a 78-75 triumph over UW-Stout on Feb. 11, Belschner was 8 of 13 from the field for 17 points adding seven boards and three blocked shots as the Warhawks secured at least a share of their fourth league crown in the last six seasons. For the week, Belschner shot over 64 percent from the floor (18 of 28) and scored 18.5 points, while hauling in eight rebounds per contest.
