Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees: February 20-26

Greyson Clark, Kaukauna

Clark was one of four wrestlers who captured his fourth straight state championship this past weekend, winning the 138 pound title in Division 1. The Purdue commit won in a 13-3 major decision over Germantown's Riese Thornberry in the championship bout. Clark won the 138 pound title for the second consecutive season after winning the 126 title in 2021 and 120 title in 2020. He finished with an unblemished 48-0 record on the season.

Kylie Rule, Mineral Point

Rule finished her prep wrestling career off with a second consecutive state championship this past weekend. She defended the 132 pound title en route to finishing her season undefeated with a 28-0 record. In the championship match Rule squared off with Barron's Angela Zimmerman. She won via pin at the 1:58 mark in the match.

Braeden Scoles, Kewaskum

Scoles, like the other boys wrestlers in this poll, captured his fourth straight state championship to finish off his illustrious prep career. He took home the 160 pound title in Division 2, defeating Owen Wasley of Saint Croix Falls via a 19-4 tech fall. Scoles, an Illinois commit finished his season with an undefeated 52-0 record. He has won the past three titles in the 160 pound weight class after winning at 145 as a freshman in 2020.

Brayden Sonnentag, Cadott

Sonnentag is the third nominee to capture his fourth straight state championship this past weekend. The Wyoming commit defeated Fennimore's Ian Crapp by a 1-0 decision in the 132 pound, Division 3 state title match. That caps a four year run of state titles in different classes, including this years 132 pound title, a 126 pound title in 2022, 120 pound title in 2021 and 106 pound title in 2020. Sonnentag finished his year 49-0 to cap off his prep career.

Beautiful Waheed, Milwaukee Academy of Science

Waheed was phenomenal as Milwaukee Academy of Science captured a regional title this past weekend. First in a 75-54 win over Catholic Memorial in the semi-finals, the senior guard had 22 points, 17 rebounds and six assists. Waheed then had 31 points, 22 rebounds and six assists in a 93-67 win over Brown Deer in the regional championship game.
