Germantown’s Kamorea “KK” Arnold has been named the 2023 Ms. Basketball award-winner by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), sponsored by JustAgame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells. 

Arnold is an athletic point guard who can score at all three levels. She is a quick and explosive playmaker who excels off the dribble and is a nightmare for opponents in transition. KK has great court vision and is an outstanding passer, allowing her to pick defenses apart. 

Arnold averaged 23.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 3.3 steals per game with 57 three-pointers made for coach Matt Stuve and the 23-6 Warhawks. 

The 5-foot-10 point guard compiled 2,458 points, 765 rebounds, 695 assists, and 415 steals in her career, leading the Warhawks to a 97-15 and the 2021 state championship, the first title in program history.  

Arnold is the first player in state history to commit to UConn. She is one of the top seniors in the nation, compiling over 30 Division I offers. 

Coach Matt Stuve said there aren’t enough superlatives to describe KK’s play over the past four years. 

“I've had a front row seat to see her play for over 100 games and many more practices, and she still amazes me with the things that she is able to do.” 

Coach Stuve said she’s been the consummate teammate, which says a lot for someone who has received the accolades that she has. 

“KK remains a humble, driven, and hard-working person through it all. She treats everybody on the team with the same respect, whether it's the next best player or kid 16 on the end of the bench.” 

Coach Stuve added that as much as he’ll remember her unbelievable play on the court, he’ll look back more fondly on the way her smile lit up the gym and what an amazing young lady she was.

The finalists for Ms. Basketball were Arnold, Grace Grocholski of Kettle Moraine, Julianna Ouimette of Lakeland, Macy Donarski of Aquinas, Meghan Schultz of New Berlin West, and Sophia Rampulla of Union Grove. 

Since 1982 the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) has awarded the most outstanding senior basketball player in the state the honor of Ms. Basketball. Mistie Bass won the award three consecutive years (2000-02), the only player in state history to be named Ms. Basketball multiple times, the award has been awarded to seniors-only since. Nominees and selection are completed by a committee of current WBCA Executive Board members.
