Below are the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week Nominees for this week. Voting is open until Thursday at 2:00 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Athlete of the Week Nominees: April 24-30

Aiden Cudney, Kimberly

Cudney finished first in three separate golf events this past week for the Kimberly boys golf team. First in a home dual with Kaukauna at High Cliff Golf Club in Sherwood, the junior golfer shot a 35, finishing two strokes ahead of the second place finisher. Cudney followed that up with a 33, the lowest score at the dual with Appleton North at Reid Municipal Golf Club in Appleton. Cudney finished his best for last, winning the Fox Cities Metro Tournament at the High Cliff Golf Club in Sherwood. He shot a 70 overall and finished three strokes ahead of second place.

Claire Emmerich, Dominican

Emmerich was all over the pitch as the Dominican girls soccer team went 2-0-1 last week. First in a 7-1 win over Heritage Christian, the junior midfielder netted four goals and assisted on one other. She followed that up with a goal and four assists in a 6-1 win over Racine Lutheran. Emmerich finished her week with two goals and two assists in a 5-5 draw with Grafton. For the week, she finished with seven goals and seven assists, accounting for 14 of the 18 goals scored by the Knights.

Aeryn Messmann, Jefferson

The Jefferson softball won five games this past week as Messmann won two on the mound and was equally impressive from the plate. Messman first took the mound in an 11-0, five-inning win over Whitewater. She struck out eight batters and allowed just three hits over the five innings. The sophomore hurler next took the mound in game one of a double header with Evansville. Messman pitched a complete game no-hitter in the 3-0 win. She struck out 16 batters and was one walk away from a perfect game. Over the five combined games, Messman went 8 of 15 with a triple, two doubles, seven RBIs and a five runs scored.

Jaden Stuhr, Marion

Stuhr has been incredible for the Marion baseball team this season and that was no different last week. The senior all-around player started the week off going 3 of 3 in a 15-0, five-inning win over Gresham. He then went two of three with a home run and five RBIs in a 20-2, five-inning win over White Lake. He was the winning pitcher of record as he pitched one inning and struck out two batters. He then pitched four and a third innings in a 17-6 win over Bowler, striking out nine batters and allowing just one hit. He went 3 of 4 from the plate with six RBIs. Stuhr finished the week going 2 of 3 with an RBI in a 14-0, five-inning win over Wild Rose. On the week, Stuhr finished 10 of 13 with a home run, four triples, two doubles, thirteen RBIs, ten runs scored, four walks and six stolen bases.

Sydney Vitangcol, Wisconsin Lutheran

Vitangcol has been lights out for the Wisconsin Lutheran softball team this season. She started last week off pitching a complete game in a 5-1 win over Greenfield. She struck out 17 batters and allowed one unearned run on two hits. The sensational sophomore then pitched another complete game, winning a 13-0, six-inning game over Pius XI Catholic. She allowed just one hit and struck out 13 batters. Along with her dominance on the mound, Vitangcol was equally impressive from the plate. Over three games she went 6 of 10 with seven RBIs, six runs scored, two walks and four stolen bases.
