Athlete of the Week Nominees: August 21-27

Ava Dettwiler, La Crosse Logan

Dettwiler and the La Crosse Logan girls volleyball team got off to a great start to the 2023 season, going 5-0 and winning the Black River Falls Invitational. Logan beat Eau Claire Immanuel, Westby, Coulee Christian, Nekoosa and Viroqua, dropping just two sets on the day. On the day, Dettwiler had 36 kills, 11 assists and ten digs.

Samuel Ehlke, Kettle Moraine Lutheran

Ehlke was phenomenal on both sides of the ball this past Friday as Kettle Moraine Lutheran beat Watertown Luther Prep 26-6. The senior running back/defensive back rushed 14 times for 188 yards and two scores. He averaged 13.4 yards per carry and had touchdown scores of 63 and 80 yards.
