The 2023 WSN Basketball Showcase was held at Homestead High School on Sunday, September 10th, and it was a great day of hoops all-around. More than 150 athletes competed in the boys portion of the event in the afternoon.

Players were divided into 18 teams, with three pools of six teams each. Teams played every other team in their pool once.

Team 5 coached by Damon James, head coach for the Grafton boys team, went 5-0 in Pool A and won that pool. Members of Team 5 are: Jaden Boyd, Milwaukee Lutheran (2027); Carter Combs, Stevens Point (2024); Caden Gustafson, Waterford (2026); Damon James Jr., Grafton (2026); Ben Jimenez, Oconomowoc (2025); Cahlil Jones, Germantown (2026); Ashton Thuecks, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah (2026); Michael Wilson, Madison West (2026).

Team 8 coached by Ryan Walz, head coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran boys basketball team went 5-0 and won Pool B. Members of Team 8 were: Bryce Boebel, Menomonee Falls (2024); Isaiah Brown, South Milwaukee (2024); Donovan Davis, Freedom (2027); Cade Kohnen, Marquette University (2024); Jacob and Jonah Koon, Abundant Life Christian (2025); Jayden Myles, Waukesha North (2024); Evan Prusko, Brookfield Central (2026); Brett Schwefel, Watertown (2025).

Team 14 coached by Jason McRoberts, head coach for the Melrose-Mindoro boys basketball team went 4-1 and won Pool C. Members of Team 14 were Blake Buhr, Sheboygan North (2026); Carsen Eeg, The Prairie School (2025); Sam Horman, Luther (2024); Karson Osterman, Pewaukee (2025); Jonathan Scherschel, Clintonville (2024); Jayden Schoepp, Richland Center (2027); Morgan Swartz, Waukesha South (2025); Calvin Van Rossum, Little Chute (2026).
