Racine Lutheran junior Julia Kellner has been selected as the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week for the week of September 11-17 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 4,268 total votes this week. Kellner topped all vote getters with 1,535 votes. Johnson Creek's Dylan Bredlow came in very close in second with 1,422 votes.

The Racine Lutheran girls volleyball team was a bulldozer this past Saturday at the Delavan-Darien Invite. Before the Crusaders competed in that however, Kellner had 29 kills, ten blocks, nine aces and four digs in a 3-2 win over Shoreland Lutheran on Thursday. Lutheran then headed to Delavan-Darien where Kellner led the squad to a perfect 5-0 on the day, not dropping a single set. The junior middle hitter had 46 kills, 17 blocks, nine aces and five digs through the five matches. Racine Lutheran is 16-5 overall on the year and sits atop the Metro Classic standings.
