The Cashton Eagles have been selected as the Week 6 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team scored a big win over Bangor in a battle of the top two teams in Division 7. The Eagles were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 6. A total of 8,942 votes were cast, as Cashton's 3,387 votes edged Franklin's 3,295 votes.

In a showdown between the top-ranked team in Division 7 and the second-ranked squad, Cashton edged out Bangor 14-10 and will remain on top of the rankings and the Scenic Bluffs Conference standings. Ethan Klinkner scored both touchdowns for the Eagles, including the game-winner with just a minute left in the fourth quarter.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 7 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
