The Kwik Trip & Wisconsin Dairy Game of the Week allows you, the fans, to pick what you feel is the biggest high school football game in the state each week. Not only will that game get featured on WisSports.net, but our WSN staff will make it our destination that week, with updates, photos, videos, and stories from the big game.

And of course, no trip to a big game in Wisconsin would be complete without a stop or two at Kwik Trip and a chocolate milk!!

It doesn't get much bigger than this. Defending Division 2 state champion and D2 top-ranked Kettle Moraine welcoming in Division 1 top-ranked Muskego with both teams unbeaten overall on the year.

Several thousand fans are expected for this one in what will undoubtedly be one of the games of the year in the state of Wisconsin.

Coming off a title last year, Kettle Moraine entered the season ranked number one in Division 2, and has held that spot throughout.

"We have had a special season so far," said head coach Matt McDonnell. "We have a great group of kids, especially seniors, who love football and the process. It has been a blast every day with them at practice and of course watching them compete on Fridays."

Muskego was top five to begin the year, and after a previous brief stint atop the rankings, ascended to the number one position again this week.

"It has been a rewarding season," said Muskego coach Ken Krause. "This team defines TEAM. No Division 1 players but all players who play for each other and give maximum effort."

There were some similarities in the answers between the two coaches when asked what they need to do well on Friday in order to be successful.

"It's about us," said Krause. "We need to be able to block and fake to the whistle. Communicate. Do our job on defense."

For McDonell, it is a similar story.

"We have to be disciplined on both sides of the ball. Obviously we have to be able to tackle well and keep gap integrity on defense. On offense, we will need to be able to stay on our blocks. They are a physical and aggressive defense."

Number one versus number one doesn't happen every day, and it's a special opportunity for everyone involved.

"Sounds like the weather isn't going to be ideal, which will be too bad for the crowd, but we are excited to play it and host it," McDonnell said. "Muskego is one of the best programs in the state, and for us both to be undefeated with a conference championship on the line is exciting. The talent on both sides of the ball is incredible."

Krause concurred.

"Thank the state for voting us the Game of the Week. It's a huge honor to represent the state. Always exciting to have Travis Wilson attend the game."
