The Somerset Spartans have been selected as the Level 2 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team made a crazy comeback to score a postseason victory. The Spartans were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 2. A total of 12,277 votes were cast, as Somerset's 5,376 votes edged Grafton's 5,279 votes.

In an absolutely wild game, Somerset somehow rallied to beat Mosinee 42-40, despite trailing by ten points with less than three minutes remaining and Mosinee with the ball. The Spartans forced a turnover, scored, recovered the onside kick, and won on the final play of the game. Kane Donnelly hit Dylan Leccia for the final touchdown, as Donnelly finished with 165 yards and three touchdowns through the air, adding 81 yards and two scores on the ground. Leccia hauled in five passes for 102 yards and three touchdowns while Caymen Gebheim ran for 134 yards.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 3 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
