Drew Viney of Stoughton has been selected as the Level 3 Jolly Good Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Vikings' Cinderella run continue. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 3. A total of 6,619 votes were cast, as Viney's 2,266 were enough to edge out second place Trenton Johnson of Grantsburg, who tallied 2,155 votes.

Stoughton's Cinderella run continues as the Vikings rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to take down defending Division 3 state champion Monroe 23-16 on Friday night. Stoughton junior quarterback Drew Viney threw three touchdowns in the second half, including two in the fourth quarter to rally his team to a win. He finished 20-of-36 in the game with 275 yards and those three scores. It is the deepest postseason run for Stoughton in school history.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Jolly Good Football Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 4 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
