Jolly Good Level 4 Player of the Week Nominees

J.P. Doyle, Badger

In the team's fourth state semi-final appearance in the last dozen years, Badger was finally able to break through and qualify for its first trip to Madison, defeating Sun Prairie East 28-6. Doyle was the difference-maker on quarterback runs, with three long touchdowns in the first half. He finished with 17 carries and 243 yards with those three rushing scores.

Koehler Kilty, Stratford

Kilty was the man in last year's Division 6 state championship win for Stratford and has done much of the same all season in 2023. He carried the load on Friday as the Tigers took down Grantsburg to advance back to state, 35-21. Kilty had 36 carries for 220 yards and two touchdowns, also recording a team-high nine tackles on defense.

Mason Lane, Lodi

Lodi broke open a close game to defeat Baldwin-Woodville 49-29, qualifying for the Division 4 state title game. Quarterback Mason Lane was a dynamic dual-threat all game, completing five-of-eight passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a team-high 116 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries. Lane recorded six tackles and an interception on defense as well.

Trace Schoenebeck, Luxemburg-Casco

Two seconds left, season on the line. That's the scenario faced by Luxemburg-Casco as Trace Shoenebeck lined up for a 24-yard field goal, trailing Catholic Memorial 21-20. Schoenebeck knocked it through for the game-winner to send the Spartans to the state finals for the first time. He also caught a team-high six passes for 43 yards in the win.

Logan Schuls, Florence

Schuls was terrific in the 8-player state championship game as the Bobcats scored a thrilling 32-30 victory over Thorp. Schuls went for a pair of touchdowns in the first half and finished with a game-high 33 carries for 272 yards in the victory. He also caught a six-yard pass and had four tackles on defense.
