Division 1

After going a perfect 30-0 as state champion last season, De Pere opens the year number one once again, as the Redbirds remain the favorites in the state's biggest division. Marquette is second, with a couple FVA schools, Kaukauna and Oshkosh North, to follow. Last season's runner-up, Arrowhead, is fifth.

Division 2

It's not surprise in Division 2, where three-time defending state champion Pewaukee is the top-ranked squad to begin the year. the Pirates are followed by old rival Wisconsin Lutheran, as those teams could meet for a third time in the playoffs once again. Nicolet is third, with Onalaska and Wauwatosa West rounding out the top five. Tosa West's season-opening loss came against Lawrence North (IN) in an out-of-state tournament to begin the year.

Division 3

Ultra-talented Milwaukee Academy of Science is the number one team in Division 3, as the Novas already have a pair of victories on the young season. Saint Thomas More is second, coming off a nice win over Carmen Northwest. Dominican, Kiel, and Xavier round out the top five. Defending champion Brillion is sixth. A reminder, last year's runner-up West Salem moves up to Division 2 this season.

Division 4

Darlington is first to begin 2023-24, with SWAL rival Mineral Point the third-ranked team. Marathon is sandwiched in between at second. Runner-up Kenosha St. Joseph is fourth followed by defending champion Luther.

Division 5

Solon Springs made it to the sectional finals last season and have four starters returning, including All-State big man Isaiah Kastern. the Eagles are the top-ranked team to open 2023-24. Columbus Catholis is second, followed by Pacelli, Potosi, and Royall in the top five.
