The WSN Cup is an award that honors schools that provide and achieve success in many of the WIAA sponsored sports. The award totals points earned in both boys and girls sports. All WIAA sponsored sports are included as part of the scoring for the award.

Middleton has finished runner-up in the Large School Division (enrollment over 1,000) for two consecutive seasons and haven't taken home the end of year WSN Cup since the 2019-20 season. Last year, the Cardinals jumped out to a lead after the fall sports season and this year is no different. Middleton accrued 486 points, most points regardless of division, and 130 points more than the second place team in the Large School standings. Middleton won state titles in boys volleyball, boys soccer and girls swim and dive, account for 300 total points. The girls tennis team finished runner-up at state while the girls golf team finished third. Football and boys cross country also accounted for points for the Cardinals. Arrowhead, the two-time defending Large School Division champion is in second place in the standings with Brookfield East, Marquette, and Franklin rounding out the top five.

Notre Dame is looking to defend its Medium School Division (enrollment between 500 and 1,000) from last season. After a ten year gap between WSN Cup titles, the Tritons got back to the top last year. After this fall season, Notre Dame holds a slight lead with 302 total points accumulated. Though not taking home a state title in the fall season, the girls golf team finished second at state while the girls cross country team finished third. The Triton football and boys soccer teams advanced all the way to the state semi-finals, with girls tennis, boys cross country and girls volleyball all also garnering points in the standings. Edgewood is second in the Medium School Division with 214.33 points, accumulating points in every sport but football. Completing the top five in the standings is Lakeside Lutheran, Rice Lake and McFarland.

For just the second season Xavier is in the Small School Division (enrollment under 500) in the WSN Cup. The Hawks took home the crown last year after dropping down a division and are once again atop the standings thru the 2023-24 fall sports season. State titles in both girls volleyball and girls cross country have helped the Hawks to 435 total points. Also getting points for Xavier was the runner-up girls tennis team, fifth-place girls golf team, state quarterfinal football and boys soccer programs. Aquinas, who has won eight WSN Cup Small School Division titles in the past is second in the standings with Lancaster, Saint Mary Catholic and Kohler a distant three thru fifth in the standings.

Divisions - Starting in 2008-09 schools will be placed in three divisions. The Large School Division is for schools with enrollment over 1000. Medium Schools are classified as 500 to 1000 and Small School division is below 500. In 2007-08 schools with enrollments of 900 or more were in the large school division while schools with enrollments up to 900 were in the small schools division. 

Points - Points are awarded for finishes in the state tournament of every team sport. Generally, the top 32 teams in each sport are awarded points. If less than 32 teams participate in a non-bracket sport state meet then those are the only schools that are awarded points. For Co-op teams the total points are divided equally amongst all schools in the co-op.
