Hundreds of former Wisconsin high school football standouts suited up at the Division 2 & 3 collegiate levels this season. 128 of those were awarded all-conference honors for the 2023-24 season. Below we will highlight a few of those athletes with a full comprehensive list at the bottom of the page.

Josiah Behm, Fox Valley Lutheran High School; Minnesota-State Moorhead

Behm was a tackling machine once again for Moorhead this season. The junior linebacker tallied 94 tackles, 7.5 for loss, 3.5 sacks and returned an interception for a touchdown en route to earning First Team All-Northern Sun honors.

Peyton Buckley, Rice Lake High School; Augustana

Buckley made his third straight all-conference team, earning First Team honors in the Northern Sun for the second time in three seasons. The Junior defensive back finished the year with 78 tackles, three interceptions and nine pass break ups; all three good enough for top 7 in the conference.

Jacob Daulton, Hudson High School; Minnesota State-Mankato

Daulton made the All-Northern Sun First Team for the second consecutive season. The senior backer compiled 52 tackles, including 4.5 for loss, a sack and an interception.

Marcus Glodowski, Amhert High School; Duluth

Glodowski made his third straight all-conference team and second straight First Team All-Northern Sun this year for the Bulldogs. The fifth year defensive back had 55 tackles, three interceptions and five pass break ups.

Drew Hennesey, Highland High School; Duluth

Another Bulldog defender makes this list as Hennesey earned First Team All-Northern Sun honors for the second consecutive season. He finished with 28 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and eight sacks. He finished third in the conference in both the TFL and sack category.

Arik Johnson, Rice Lake High School; Duluth

Johnson was spectacular once again on the Duluth offensive line. He made First Team All-Northern Sun for the third consecutive season and finished his career with 42 starts.

Maven Kretche, Sun Prairie High School; Minnesota State-Mankato

Kretche was a terror once again in Northern Sun opposing backfields. He was named to the First Team All-Northern Sun after earning second team in 2022. Kretche had 34 tackles on the season including 13 for loss. He added 10.5 sacks which led the entire conference. 

Sam Pitz, Appleton West High School; Duluth

Pitz, like teammate Johnson, made his third consecutive All-Northern Sun Firs Team. The senior tight end finished with 25 catches for 356 yards and nine touchdowns, which was third best in the conference. For his career, Pitz finished with 38 catches for 580 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Clay Schueffner, St. Mary's Springs High School; Winona State

Schueffner finished his career at Winona State making his third consecutive First Team All-Northern Sun squad. He finished with 65 tackles, nine for loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles on the year. Schueffner was also awarded the conference's Glen Galligan Award which is given to players who participate four years at their school and are academically superior and provide a positive impact on their campus.

Marc Sippel, Wausau West High School; Michigan Tech

Sippel earned First Team All-GLIAC honors last year as a sophomore and took home second team laurels in this, his junior season. The linebacker finished the year third in the GLIAC with 93 tackles and had eight tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Jack Strand, Bloomer High School; Minnesota State-Moorhead

Strand was one of the top quarterbacks not just in the Northern Sun Conference, but in all of Division 2 football. Despite the Dragons finishing 7-4, Strand was named the Offensive Player of the Year in the Northern Sun Conference and made the First Team All-Conference squad. Just a sophomore, Strand completed 370 of 550 pass attempts for 3,914 yards with a 67% completion percentage. He threw for 36 touchdowns and 10 rebounds, adding a touchdown on the ground. His passing yards, completions, attempts and touchdowns all set school records. Strand finished second in the nation in passing yards and third in passing touchdowns.

Kyle Walljasper, Fond du Lac High School; Duluth

Walljasper earned just Second Team All-Northern Sun honors, but that has to do with the fact that Strand was ahead of him on the list. The do-it-all quarterback put up some huge numbers this season for the Bulldogs. Walljasper finished with 2,352 passing yards with 22 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He added another 1,073 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground.

Julius Wilkerson, Homestead High School; Davenport

Wilkerson finished his collegiate football career by earning his third straight All-GLIAC honor. The senior linebacker played his final season at Davenport after spending time at Wayne State. He was named to the First Team All-GLIAC for the second time after compiling 80 tackles, six for loss, one interception and one fumble recovery. In his time playing, Wilkerson also made five All-Academic Excellence Teams and was awarded the GLIAC McAvoy Award in 2022 for his outstanding character and leadership in the classroom and community.

Sam Barnett, Holmen High School; St. Norbert

Barnett filled the stat sheet en route to First Team All-NACC laurels this season. He accumulated 99 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, three interceptions and five pass deflections from his linebacker spot. His 99 tackles tied for the lead in the NACC.

Kobe Berghammer, Cumberland High School; UW-Oshkosh

Berghammer ends his career at Oshkosh as one of the best to suit up for the Titans and made the First Team All-WIAC. He finished this season with 2,992 passing yards and 39 touchdowns, completing 66% of his passes. He added 503 yards and five scores on the ground. For his career, Berghammer threw for 8,763 yards and 99 touchdowns and rushed for 2,191 yards and 28 scores. He now holds the record for most passing touchdowns in a career (99), single-game passing touchdowns (8), single-game passing yards and (465) single-game total yards (573).

Austin Eichstaedt, Cudahy High School; Carroll

Eichstaedt finished his career at Carroll on a high note and earned First Team All-CCIW from his wide receiver position for the second time. He finished the regular season with a conference best 977 receiving yards on 57 catches and nine touchdowns. For his career, Eichstaedt had 190 catches for 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Keyser Helterbrand, Hudson High School; UW-La Crosse

Helterbrand was exceptional as he's led the Eagles to the NCAA Division 3 Football Quarterfinals. Along with his First Team All-WIAC quarterback nod and Honorable Mention all-purpose back, Helterbrand was named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Year. He passed for 2,680 yards and 33 touchdowns with a 72% completion percentage. Helterbrand added 770 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground.

Matt Jung, Neenah High School; Bethel

Jun made a huge impact in his first season of collegiate football at Bethel. He made the First Team All-MIAC and put up huge numbers. Jung finished with 72 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and a blocked kick. He also had eight pass break ups and seven interceptions. His seven interceptions led the MIAC and tied for the lead in all of Division 3 football.

Emmitt Hawkins, Cudahy High School; Wisconsin Lutheran

Hawkins was just a freshman this season and made a big impact for the Wisconsin Lutheran college football team, earning All-NACC First Team honors. Hawkins finished with 38 catches for 685 yards and five touchdowns. 

Jack Kelly, Stevens Point High School; UW-La Crosse

Kelly made his second consecutive First Team All-WIAC after being a terror on the defensive line. The senior lineman finished with 29 tackles. 9.5 for loss, five sacks and added ten quarterback hits. He finished in the Top 6 in both tackles for loss and sacks in the conference.

Alex Klecker, River Falls High School; UW-River Falls

Klecker made his third straight all-conference team, earning First Team All-WIAC Honors for the second time. He has been a three year starter on the Falcon's offensive line.

Evan Lischka, Manitowoc Lutheran High School; Concordia-Wisconsin

Lischka earned Honorable Mention All-NACC last season and First Team honors this year. The senior defensive back finished with 34 tackles, five interceptions and five pass break ups. His five interceptions led the NACC for the year.

Ben Rashid, Lodi High School; Dubuque

Rashid made the American Rivers First Team All-Conference this year by being a menace for opposing defenses. He was second in the conference in sacks, finishing with 9.5 on the season, while adding 37 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and seven quarterback hits.

Kyle Santos, Mukwonago High School; St. Norbert

Santos teamed with Sam Barnett to form a scary duo at linebacker and joined him on the All-NACC First Team. The junior linebacker finished with 84 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception.

Andrew Schweigert, Sussex Hamilton High School; UW-Platteville

Schweigert made a third straight All-WIAC team this year, earning his first first team nod in his senior campaign. Not only was he a first-team all-conference selection, but Schweigert was also named the Co-Special Teams Player of the Year in the WIAC. He led the conference with 44.1 yards per punt and had eight over 50 yards. Schweigert also handled field goal duties, making 10 of 14 field goals and 33 of 34 extra points.

Isaac Simons, Lake Country Lutheran High School; Carleton

Simons was named to the MIAC First Team All-Conference team this year in his fourth year at Carleton. He finished with 93 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and 2 interceptions on the year. He tied for the conference lead in tackles and was second in tackles for loss. For his career, Simons finished with 293 tackles, 39 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and four interceptions.

Michael Stack, Oshkosh West High School; UW-La Crosse

Stack was a huge difference maker from his kicker position for the WIAC-winning Eagles this season. He earned First Team All-Conference honors and was also named the WIAC-Special Teams Player of the Year. Stack made 11 of 13 field goal attempts and was a perfect 43 for 43 on PATs. Stack connected on a 51-yard game winner over UW-Whitewater which proved to be the clinching game for the conference title.

Tamir Thomas, Menomonee Falls High School; UW-Whitewater

Thomas earned his first All-WIAC honors this year, being named to the First Team. The junior tailback led the conference with 1,372 yards, averaging 7.8 yards per carry, and had 16 touchdowns.
