The Division 1 basketball season is in full swing and the amount of former Wisconsin high school greats making a difference on the hardwood continues to soar. Below we catch up with just a few of the many that are playing at this level.

Marcus Domask of Waupun

Quincy Anderson, Oshkosh North

A running mate of Tyrese Haliburton at Oshkosh North, Anderson has carved out a great collegiate career for himself. Spending his first seasons at Division 2 Minnesota State-Mankato, Anderson compiled 884 points at that level. He is in Year 2 at Murray State and is a playmaker off the Racers bench. Anderson is averaging 8.4 points and had a career high 27 points in 27 minutes in a 76-72 loss to Illinois State.

Dalton Banks, Eau Claire North

Banks spent his first three seasons in college basketball playing alongside Waupun grad Marcus Domask at Southern Illinois. Both transferred out after last year and Banks now suits up for Illinois State with a pair of other alumni in De Pere's Johnny Kinziger and La Crosse Central's Jordan Davis. As the starting point guard, Banks is averaging 11.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and three assists per game for the Redbirds.

Leon Bond III, Wauwatosa East

Bond plays at Virginia for another former alumni from the state, Tony Bennett. The redshirt freshman has provided an energy spark off the bench for the Cavaliers this year. Bond is averaging 6.5 points and 3.6 rebounds early on in the 2023-24 season.

Patrick Cartier, Brookfield East

Cartier dominated the Division 2 basketball scene while at Hillsdale, being named a D2 All-American two times and scoring over 1,600 points. Now in year two at Colorado State, Cartier has surpassed 2,000 points in his collegiate career. This season for the Rams, he's putting up 11.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

Tyran Cook, Waukesha South

Cook is a true freshman at VMI, but is not playing like it for the Keydets. Coming off the bench, he has averaged over ten points and three rebounds per game. Cook had a career high 20 points in a 78-69 loss to Northern Arizona.

Marcus Domask, Waupun

Domask had an illustrious career at Southern Illinois, compiling many awards, recognitions and stats. He accumulated over 1,600 points, 500 rebounds and 350 assists in his time with the Saluckis. This season, Domask is suiting up for Illinois in his final season in the college ranks. Starting every game, he's averaging 9.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Domask had a season high 33 pints and six rebounds in a 98-89 win over eleventh-ranked Florida Atlantic.

Jack Gohlke, Pewaukee

Gohlke also played at Hillsdale before transferring to Oakland this season. He's excelled just the same as Cartier at playing at the higher level. Gohlke is averaging 12.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for the Golden Grizzlies.

Darius Hannah, Milwaukee Academy of Science

Hannah has gotten better year after year for Bradley and it's bearing fruit in his senior season. He teams with Milwaukee Hamilton grad Demarion Burch for the Braves. Hannah starts for Bradley and averaging 12.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. He adds over a block and a steal per game as well, proving a difference maker on both sides of the ball.

Tyrese Hunter, Racine St. Catherine's

Hunter was the Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 2022 while playing at Iowa State. He transferred after that season and is currently in his second season at Texas. Serving as the starting point guard, Hunter is averaging over 12 points, four assists and two rebounds per game for the twelfth-ranked Longhorns.

Donovan Ivory, Kaukauna

Ivory has struggled to find his footing as he's played for Boise State, UMass, Lowell, UW-Green Bay and is now at Southern Miss. Jones averaging 12.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 56% from the field.

David Joplin, Brookfield Central

This year, the junior forward is in the Golden Eagles starting lineup and averages 8.3 points and three rebounds per game.

Johnny Kinziger, De Pere

Kinziger is a true freshman and plays at Illinois State along fellow alumni Dalton Banks of Eau Claire North and Jordan Davis of La Crosse Central. He has found himself a key piece off the bench for the Redbirds as he's averaging 7.5 points in his first collegiate season.

Max Klesmit, Neenah

Klesmit transferred from Wofford to Wisconsin before the 2022-23 season and immediately gave the team energy and grit. The junior guard has averaged 8.6 points this season for the home state Badgers. He had his best game yet in a 75-64 win over third-ranked and in-state rival Marquette last weekend. Klesmit scored 21 points and was sharp from beyond the arc.

Adam Larson, Fennimore

Larson has stepped his game up at Southeast Missouri State in his sophomore year. After averaging 5.1 points and 1.7 rebounds per game as a freshman, Larson has nearly double his production this year. He is averaging 10.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game as a starter for the Redhawks.
