WIAC Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week
(Week of December 4-10)

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Miles Barnstable, Sophomore (Sheboygan, Wis./Howards Grove), Guard of UW-Whitewater

Barnstable led the Warhawks to a comeback win at Hope College (Mich.) on Dec. 6. He was 10-of-18 from the floor, including four three-pointers, and 11-of-11 from the charity stripe for a game-high 35 points. Down by six with 30 seconds left, Barnstable took over the game, scoring seven of UW-Whitewater’s last nine points and registering two huge defensive plays to secure the victory.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Ella Mackiewicz, Sophomore (Shawnee, Kan./Mission Northwest), Guard of UW-Platteville

Mackiewicz scored a season-high 23 points as the Pioneers dominated in the second half for an 87-50 home win over Lake Forest College (Ill.) on Dec. 6. She went 9-of-11 from the floor and made a career-high four threes in just under 23 minutes. Mackiewicz grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, including four offensive boards, and finished with one steal in the victory.
