WIAC Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week
(Week of December 11-17)

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Will Fuhrmann, Junior (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg), Guard of UW-La Crosse

Fuhrmann finished with a career-high 23 points and four steals in UW-La Crosse’s 74-59 win at Saint Mary's University (Minn.) on Dec. 13. He went nine-of-14 from the field, including five-of-five from three-point range and secured six rebounds.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Amanda Geisen, Senior (New Prague, Minn./New Prague), Forward of UW-Stout

Geisen shot 66.7 percent (16-of-24) in two wins for the 9-1 Blue Devils during the week. She scored 15 points and secured five rebounds in a win against University of Northwestern-Saint Paul (Minn.) before leading all scorers with 26 points (10-of-16) in UW-Stout’s 77-76 road win over No. 17-ranked Trine University (Ind.). Geisen added six rebounds, four assists, and two steals in the Trine victory. For the week, she shot 16-of-24 (66.7%) from the field for 41 points, while also recording 11 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
