rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week: JJ Douglas, Janesville Parker

Janesville Parker senior JJ Douglas has been selected as the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week for the week of December 18-24 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 4,662 total votes this week. Douglas topped all vote getters with 1,613 votes. Germantown's Peyton McKenna came in second with 1,474 votes.

Douglas helped the Janesville Parker boys basketball team to its first two victories of the season last week. The Central Michigan football recruit began his week with a game high 38 points in a 78-76 win over Milwaukee Riverside. He added 15 points, five assists and four steals in the victory. Douglas then recorded another double-double in Parker's 72-71 win over Racine Case. He again scored a game high with 28 points, while adding 14 rebounds, five steals and three assists.

For the season Douglas is averaging 24.2 points per game, shooting 58% from the field. He's added 14.1 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 2.2 assists per game on the year.
