Antigo junior Owen Dickman has been selected as the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week for the week of January 1-7 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 6,240 total votes this week. Dickman topped all vote getters with 2,318 votes. Carmen Northwest's Dupree Fletcher Jr. came in second with 2,026 votes.

Dickman was spectacular as the Antigo boys hockey team picked up a trio of wins to open up 2024. In a 6-4 win over Pacelli, the junior forward netted a hat trick and assisted on two more. He followed that up with three more goals and an assist in a 5-3 victory over Northland Pines. Dickman finished his week on fire with four more goals in a 5-4 win over Milton. Over three games in 2024, Dickman netted ten goals and assisted on three more.

Dickman and the Antigo boys hockey team will play their first game of the week tonight as they travel to Tomahawk.
