The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) begins its inaugural season of women’s lacrosse this spring with seven teams, including full-time conference members University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point and UW-Stout, along with affiliate members Colorado College and Southwestern University (Texas).

Colorado College and Southwestern are the longest-running programs in the conference entering their 30th and 11th seasons, respectively. They are followed by UW-River Falls (sixth season), UW-Eau Claire and UW-La Crosse (fourth), UW-Stout (second) and UW-Stevens Point (first).

Colorado College has 11 NCAA appearances to its credit – advancing to the national semifinals in 2005, while UW-River Falls has one appearance.

A quartet of coaches will make their head coaching debuts with Taylor Beretich at Southwestern, Michael Rhodovi at UW-Eau Claire, Alexandra Robinson at UW-La Crosse and Christian Diaz at UW-Stevens Point.

The six-game conference schedule for each team begins on April 3. The top-four teams in the standings will secure a spot in the WIAC Tournament that will be conducted May 3-4 at the highest Wisconsin seed.
