West Bend West senior Connor Mirasola has been selected as the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week for the week of February 19-25 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 7,218 total votes this week. Mirasola topped all vote getters with 3,085 votes. Cumberland's Dawson Johnson came in a very close second with 2,914.

Mirasola became the 28th wrestler in prep history and the third of the weekend to win his fourth straight state championship. He captured gold in the 190-pound weight class in Division 1 after winning at 195 in 2023, 182 in 2022, and 170 in 2021. Though Mirasola's final bout of his prep career did not go the way he's preferred, he did win gold. Squaring off with Hudson's Ethan Winkelman in the finals, Mirasola was granted the win via injury default to Winkelman early in the match. Mirasola, a Penn State commit, finished his year 51-1.
